Some interaction decisions are much easier to discuss when there is something that can be touched, broken, and compared. That is what Playground is for.
It is a browser prototype and remains separate from the real distro implementation. Convincing behavior in the simulator does not prove a Wayland compositor, system integration, boot, installation, or hardware behavior.
The value of the experiment is reducing design ambiguity before ideas cross into a much more expensive native implementation.
