    Community

The community can start before the distro is finished.

Felunyx is an independent project created and maintained by Mafuzyk. Contribution is already open — and it does not need to be code to matter.

An independent project maintained by one person.

Mafuzyk is a student and also works. Felunyx is not a full-time project, so constant activity and immediate replies are not promises. That is maintenance context, not an excuse to lower quality criteria.

    How the project works

Automation and AI are used as tools in parts of development, but automatic output does not become a decision or truth by default. Code, documentation, and research remain subject to review, tests, canonical decisions, and human responsibility.

    Contribution doors

Human contributions are explicitly welcome. Experience, judgment, different machines, and new perspectives improve Felunyx in ways automation cannot replace.

    • Ideas
    • Bug reproduction

Open contribution does not turn architecture into popular vote. Decisions still follow the canonical process, specifications, review, and evidence.

    Recognition

The project intends to recognize contribution by type of work, not only by commits. Public categories are:

    • Code
    • Testing
    • Documentation
    • Translation
    • Design
    • Research

Where to follow and participate now

The currently verifiable public participation point is the Felunyx GitHub repository. Other channels will appear here only after they actually exist and are chosen.

Upstream is not the same as contributors

Felunyx is built on upstream projects such as Arch Linux, systemd, Linux, KDE/Qt, and other dependencies. Upstream acknowledgements stay separate from recognition of people contributing directly to Felunyx.

    Contributors

Contributors are people who directly help the project through code, testing, documentation, translation, design, research, hardware, or bug reproduction. This page does not invent rankings or counts.
