Simulated apps

Playground is the public lab. It lets us explore interaction and organization for the future desktop without selling a prototype as shipped behavior.
It is a browser prototype for exploring interaction; it is not the native desktop implementation.
Playground is not R, V, or H validation of the real system.
Inside the simulator
The full simulator keeps one fixed 1920×1080 virtual monitor and runs entirely in the browser, with no server and no telemetry. Your session is saved on your device only.

On phones, the support page prioritizes responsive previews. The full simulator is still a 1920×1080 workspace and is considerably less painful on desktop or landscape.
A continuous layout direction for keeping context without shrinking everything into thumbnails.
Related windows can share one place as a model entity rather than a decorative tab bar.
Playground lets the project test workspace policy before it exists in the real compositor.
